Hartridge was proud to host its annual Distributor event and welcome 120 delegates from 50 countries to itsannual business review and awards ceremony
19 - 21 January, 2009. The event was used by Hartridge and major fuel injection manufacturers to launch new products and initiatives for the diesel aftermarket sector.

The Delphi Direct Acting Diesel Common Rail System is an advanced fuel injection system that uses innovative injection technology. Instead of being moved by an electro-hydraulic circuit, the injector needle is moved by apiezo ceramic actuator. In this manner, the injector can spray the fuel into the combustion chamber much faster and with greatly improved accuracy and spray atomisation when compared to the existing fuel injection technologies. This means that NOx (nitrogen oxide) emissions are reduced by approximately 30% with approximatly 10% more torq and power.

In early October 2008, Delphi Brazil had organised a couple of open days at their training school in Cotia. During those two days, over 60 people from Brazil and Paraguay visited the Delphi premises near Sao Paolo. With the support of Hartridge, Delphi Brazil presented to their various distributors and end customers the AVM2-PC with the HK870 cambox set up for Delphi EUI solution.

Hartridge was present at the 20th edition of Automechanika in Frankfurt, last September. This year, with a stand three times bigger than previous events, Hartridge made its presence felt stronger at the show. 2008 saw a particular growth of visitors from Latin America as well as the former USSR countries where the diesel market is growing rapidly.

Buckingham firm Hartridge has been presented with the 2007 International Trade award – one of the Aylesbury Business Excellence Awards.

Delphi Deutschland GmbH exhibited at the AMITEC exhibition last month, demonstrating their unique DieselPoint concent, alongside Hartridge test equipment including the CRi-PC, Testmaster3, EUI / EUP poptest and H-system signal units.

The UK Government released its official green car list in July 2007. The major surprise was that the number one green car was not the Toyota Prius or Honda Civic hybrids but the diesel engine Volkswagen Polo BlueMotion 1.4 TDI. The good news for current owners and prospective owners is that Polo BlueMotion is so green that it is the first conventional car to be made exempt from road tax.

At the 2008 Geneva Auto Show, Ford showed its European customers greater powertrain and series choices for Ford Mondeo, S-MAX and Galaxy: a new high performance 2.2-litre diesel engine and new versions of the Titanium series.
