We don’t normally share a special end of year message, but 2020 hasn’t been a normal year for any of us and it feels fitting to recognise everything that has happened as the year draws to a close.

We have been very proud to continue our operations throughout the lockdowns whilst keeping every single member of the Hartridge team safe and well. It is important to us that we continue to support you as best as we can regardless of the situation.

One of the things we have missed most has been our customer events. These are one of the few occasions we do get to meet and talk with our customers in the year and we have felt its absence from our calendars acutely. We look forward to when we can next have an event with you, even though they will likely look very different next year!

In other news, the BorgWarner acquisition of Delphi Technologies was completed earlier this year despite the uncertainties of 2020. We are delighted to be part of one of the largest mergers in aftermarket history; promising to bring exciting opportunities for us all in the future.

While here at Hartridge we were impacted directly by the Covid-19 lockdowns and restrictions, we are also very aware of the dramatic impact it has caused to our most vulnerable members of the community.

We were pleased to have offered our help in supporting relief efforts both on a local and national level. We have registered our facilities with the UK government database to support manufacture of emergency equipment should it be required.

This month we had a number of computer tablets which we no longer use in our manufacturing and we wanted to make they went to a good home. We split the donation between two local needs. We donated half of the tablets to a local care home in the hopes they can be used by elderly residents to keep in touch with their loved ones they cannot visit over Christmas. The other half of the donation went to a local school to support learning from home where needed and maintain the student’s access to education through this uncertain time.

Finally, we want to extend sincere thanks to all our customers and distributors. Your support is invaluable in any year but never more so than this year. Thank you all for support and backing through this hard time.

We recognise that our customers have been on the front lines keeping essential vehicles going, providing services we can’t be without from your workshops, and among the first to feel the effects of national lockdowns. We are dedicated to seeing you and our wider industry recover together.
