Dubai show is a success!

Posted by Anne Ruff on March 30, 2010

Hartridge participated in the first edition of the Commercial Vehicles exhibition at the Dubai International Convention & Exhibition Centre United Arab Emirates.

This show was specifically aimed at the transport & commercial industries in the MENA (Middle East & North Africa) region. Seminars with guest speakers from around the world also ran in parallel with the exhibition at various times on the first two days. The seminars covered various subjects: reducing vehicle emissions, globalisation of the commercial vehicle industry, green initiatives, enforcing international standards for a better operations environment as well as practical strategies to ensure high fuel efficiency.

Most of these themes can be linked to the benefits of using Hartridge Test Equipment, especially with the newer technologies such as Common Rail and Electronic Unit Injection that we would consider ourselves to be pioneers in.

The customer base that visited the Hartridge stand ranged from small single owner workshops, existing diesel fuel injection repair workshops to fleet managers, OEM companies such as Iveco, Navistar and Mitsubishi to Government departments such as The RTA (Road & Transport Authority, Dubai Municipality & Dubai Civil Defence. The visitors came from the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Qatar, Iran, Sudan, Saudi Arabia and the United States to name a few.

George Taylor, Distribution Development Director and Lewis Brown, Territory Manager at Hartridge, were supported by Mr. Hesham Tantawy & Mr. Ibrahim Kamber from International Diesel Services in Dubai. Their assistance was invaluable to the show. IDS Dubai purchased the first IFT-70 in the UAE for their branch in Al Quoz Dubai.

In summary, the response and interest in Hartridge products generated was very positive. Hartridge is looking forward to attending the show again next year.
